Guest guest
I e-mailed it and it felt good! Sylvia SCD – 1 month From: BTVC-SCD [mailto:BTVC-SCD ] On Behalf Of Stocker Sent: February-02-09 7:55 PM To: BTVC-SCD Subject: Spreading the diet - help a Dr. learn about the SCD Dear Group, I ran across an article on the net about a Dr. Amy Brown conducting a " ...clinical trial to determine whether a balanced 'Crohn's Disease Diet' is an effective complementary treatment for Crohn's disease. " The article states that " no diet exists for these patients " and I just had to send her an email. I told her how the SCD helps people with Crohn's, colitis, autism and more. I think the more people she hears from on the SCD the better. The closer we can bring the SCD to large scale clinical trials, the sooner the doctors will all know about it and begin to change their ideas about diet and disease. Perhaps you'd like her to hear from you too? Article: http://tinyurl.com/bvo55o Dr. Brown's email address and phone number are listed in the article. Guest guest
She responded already. WOW!!!! Here is what she wrote. Of course, I'm filling out the questionnaire when she sends it. Misty Thank you for sharing your knowledge of this resource. I have read the book and am interested in any and all experiences where something, especially diet, made a difference. Our goal is to provide an evidenced-based diet through the American Dietetic Association so that it can then be recommended to patients. There are too many people that say diet affects their symptoms for this condition to continue without an official diet. Would it be possible for you to fill out a questionnaire on diet? We need all information possible connecting diet to Crohn's disease. I'm listening to what people with this condition are saying... By the way, how did you hear about our study? I see you are from LA and I just know of two local newspaper articles that went out with the story. Thanks again for contacting me, Amy > I ran across an article on the net about a Dr. Amy Brown conducting a " ...clinical trial to determine whether a balanced 'Crohn's Disease Diet' is an effective complementary treatment for Crohn's disease.
