Guest guest
I use Miralax; it's an osmotic laxative, so is mild and safe over the long term. I've been on it for more than 5 years. I also take extra magnesium regularly. My body can't handle too many fruits either. It also can't handle nut flours well, so I limit myself to one muffin per day. I stay away from stimulant laxatives. And I no longer use Amitiza. But if my body hadn't rejected it (severe joint inflammation) I'd probably still use it even if it has an illegal, as it did help with digestive motility. Of course I was on a very low dose, and I don't have an IBD, and I'd been on SCD for 4 years at the time I gave Amitiza a try. All that makes a difference in decision-making. I find Miralax helps considerably. And being on SCD for a long time also helps. Kim M. SCD 5 years
