Guest guest
Agave is not permitted on SCD. I use juice or cooked fruit as a substitute for honey in recipes. I often have to adjust the amount of dry ingredients to compensate for the extra moisture. The result won't be as sweet as when you use honey, but there is enough sweetness to taste good. And best of all, my body doesn't react as it does with honey. Kim M. SCD 5 years > > What is the honey substitution? My son is allergic. Guest guest
Hi, There's a post at pecanbread that says stevia can be used in limited quantities for kids who can't tolerate honey or saccharin. You have to be very careful to find some that doesn't contain illegals though, which isn't easy. And of course, if you aren't seeing progress, eliminate it.
