Guest guest
I have a memory foam mattress topper and LOVE it! I don't like sleeping anywhere else, and on a road trip in September had me flaring because of the hotel bed. Also, I like to refer to it a the Princess and the Pea syndrome, because even a tiny wrinkle in the sheets can sometimes keep me from feeling comfy in the bed. Regular cotton sheets can sometimes be painful for me too. So now during the winter I ONLY use flannel sheets, and summertime I only use those jersey t-shirt sheets. Soooo soft and I'd never go without them now. Hubby thinks I'm cute how I can't go to bed til we smooth all the wrinkles out of the bottom sheet. I sleep in a t-shirt but if it bunches I have to straighten it out because it might hurt a tender spots. It's kind of silly sometimes and I get a kick out of it, as frustrating as it may be. Guest guest
I have a memory foam topper on my bed, too. It realy helps me unless I don't stay on one side too often. Guest guest
Hey Girlsaylor, You posted last week or the week before when you were moving in to the house and scrubbing everything. LOL How did everything turn out? I have used a memory foam pillow for 2 years, I sometimes think it does not help at all, and think I should try something that is fluffier. Not sure. You should not feel that you can not write about your problems, I feel that way sometimes, but shouldn't. Most people here want to be of some help. Keep posting, Kris **************************************See AOL's top rated recipes (http://food.aol.com/top-rated-recipes?NCID=aoltop00030000000004)
Guest guest
Hi Kris, Thanks for the nice words. I ended up unable to continue on the house due to being so sick. It's a slow-go for me, because I cannot put in more than a couple of hours a day normally, and now nothing at all. My next area of attack is the hallway. It needs scrubbed down badly. I may have to do it in stages, but it'll get done. As far as not posting alot, I just hate a pity party. Life is to be lived, and I would much rather immerse myself in things like weekend plans, or a fun day sailing on the water, or even a day of varnishing teak or rebuilding a winch. So I try to put a smile on my face and not think about this earthly body as much as possible. But thanks for the acknowledgement. girlsaylor
Guest guest
I'm glad that your mattress topper is helping you sleep. I have one, too, that helps me a lot. It was shifting a lot, so tried to go without it one night, and decided right away it was going back on. Please feel free to vent about your pain or other health problems or whatever here. We are here to listen and we care. Jeanne in WI > Hi all, > Just been lurking since joining. Guest guest
Write anytime Jeribelle. Share with us when you need to. I hope the memory foam helps. I have heard that it makes people hot if you are hot natured. But I guess that would be a small price to pay for some comfort. I have thought about getting one myself. hugs, Debra V. jeribelle2000 wrote: Hi all, Just been lurking since joining. But today I got my memory foam mattress topper and gotta say it helped the pain alot. I even hauled that sucker in alone and managed to put it up on top of my very high king mattress, even with the weight of the thing. I didn't sleep at all last night, but promptly put a sheet over it and went to bed. Fell right asleep! This thing kicks! Now I'm seriously thinking that my headache that never leaves might just be helped if I switch pillows, maybe to a memory foam one also. I blame the headache on the statin I take for high cholesterol, but my doc says it's not really a side effect. I think I've read it is though. I've not been posting, mostly reading. Usually am pretty 'up' person and hate to drag people down with all my health complaints. Guess that's why I shy away from posting here. Mostly looking at how the docs are treating the fibro these days (I was diagnosed 7 years ago with it). ly, my other medical conditions are a much bigger worry than my fibro, but I soooooo understand the pain part. I was especially interested in tips on sleeping, as broken sleep due to pain as well as my sleep apnea is wreaking havoc. I know if I can get some decent sleep all will be much better. Sorry for the ramble. Hope all are feeling comfortable today, as much as is possible. girlsaylor --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile.
