Guest guest
I don't post very oftern but I read everything and have gotten alot of advise from other posts. I too have not been able to sleep more than an 1 to 1 1/2 hours at night, regardless of what the doctor has given me to help. My onc is wondering if it might be something with my hormones. All I know is that I am soooooo tired, but not sleepy. My hair started to come out in handfuls a couple days ago, so my friend is going to shave it for my on Saturday. I have my first chemo treatment 2 weeks ago and have mild headache and nausea for 3 days. I go a Neupogen shot each day for the next 10 days after chemo. It made my bones hurt, but I only had 1 day that was almost unbearable, but I got through it OK (not like I had a choice LOL), other than that day tylenol worked just fine. Had my second treatment this morning and am dealing with extreme nausea and the headache is much worse this time. The worst part is how tired I feel. I thought the side effects would be close to or the same as the last one, but apparently I was wrong. Is this the way it usually works? I am also feeling depressed because my step-daughter is getting married in TN this Saturday and I will not be able to go, just to tired and my onc said that she rather I not do any traveling right now. We have raised 6 kids (she is the 5th one to get married) and this will be the first wedding I missed. She is very supportive and totally understands, but that isn't much comfort to me right now. Well I'm going to go lay down and hope the nausea and headache will pass. My onc gave me Zofrin and compazine for the nausea.
