Thanks, Mitch. And by the way, you can TOTALLY do this!!!

I know you were interested in my pace, and they've finally gotten our

race results up. I finished with a chip time of 2:25:28, for an

average of 11:06 minute miles throughout the race. I ran the first

6.8 miles of the race with a 11:17 minute mile average, so that means

I sped up during the last half of the race. That is about a minute

and a half to two minutes slower than my 5K pace.

That's real good April. In the hour I ran this morning, I ran

for 5.2 miles - so that's what - 11 minute,33 second pace, by my

calculation - to keep that up over 13 miles is great - especially

quickening your pace in the 2nd half!!!! As I've mentioned, I

definitely enjoy cycling more then running, so I don't ever see myself

doing a half-marathon - 5K's - yes. 10K's - maybe. But who knows???

I'm right there with ya, Mitch... I do both, but I enjoy cycling

more! I can only run about a mile and half or so at a time, but I

can ride at least 12 miles.

I've never been much into biking, myself. I should do it more,

though, for cross training purposes. If you enjoy both running and

biking, you could always try a duathlon, which is both. It's like a

triathlon, but with only biking and running. They come in all

variations of length. I've thought about doing one since I'm such a

horrible swimmer.

Let us know how the 5K goes!
