I can't find anything in the accompanying literature, and the pharmacist was kinda clueless... Thanks! Guest guest Posted December 4, 2001 Report Share Posted December 4, 2001 Barbara, I had the same thing happen a number of years ago when I had walking pneumonia. The doctors swore the Z-pack was awesome, worked fast, etc. Two weeks later I was broken out with raging hives. I was immediately tested, but my allergist said all the drug was out of my system and they couldn't really tell if that was the culprit. I just know that I will never touch Zithromax again! That's why I now get the flu shot and the have had the pneumonia shot as well - it's not worth getting sick along with hives or getting hives as a result of getting sick!
