Guest guest
,, thanks for the thoughts and prayers .. you are in mine also how are you feeling..?? The doctor said that as long as all goes well he will do it laperscopic, but if a problem he will have to do it the old way and he told me that he won't wake me up to see if it is ok..lol he will just do it.. so hopefully I will be in and out the only problem is that I have a hard time coming out of it.. I usally sleep hard and can't wake up.. but I just want to be home I am tired of being in the hospital as I am sure we all know that feeling.. well let me know how you are doing girly.. your friend always..hugs Wishing you all a pain free day from Michigan
Guest guest
Yeah , I am so glad it will be so soon. You will be home and recuperating before you know it. will it be done laparoscopically? that's how they did mine and it was a much easier recovery. Anyway, will keep praying! Until then........ Be well,
Guest guest
Hi Banana, I am so glad things are finally coming into place for you. I pray that this takes care of you!! :-) I will pray that it can go laprascopically.................I am not having good days lately. The doc says to keep trying to eat liquids-ha! easy for her to say. It doesn't matter what it is-broth, bullion, popsicle-it causes either nausea, back pain or both. Ah well, I go back to U of M on Monday. We will see what words of wisdom they have for me then..........are you okay emotionally going into this? Nervous? I will pray for peace for your soul. That makes it easier to concentrate on the physical part of it................. Be well my friend,
Guest guest
Dear , I just wanted to let you know how things went. In general the whole thing wasn't bad at all. After I woke up I was really ready to come home. I would have, too, if it weren't for the bathroom thing. Don't worry. I am the queen of complications. If you might possibly get it, I will. I just wish that I had known ahead of time that it might happen. Oh well, even being a nurse I learn something new everyday. It is still too soon to tell if the gall bladder has made any difference. I think it will be awhile until I am back to my usual self as far as eating and all that goes. My surgeon said that everything looked OK in there so he isn't all that sure this was the problem. Just what I wanted to hear.... Anyway, you are in my prayers and don't worry, it isn't bad at all. I think the worst part was the waiting before hand. I had gotten myself so nervous! Take care and if you have any specific questions just ask! I will be happy to answer if I can.
Guest guest
, I am sorry that you are still having problems with eatting I had hoped it would get better.. I am very nervous excited and scared... I just want it over with I went today to get the pretesting done for the surgery which didn't take as long as I had thought it would.. I have gotton to know the lab pretty well and know which ones that can pick good and the ones who hurt so I wait for Kathy because she does such a good job..but she asked me how I was with it all too and like I said to her I just want it to help and she has just had it done too and told me that the surgeon that I have is the best there is and I do know I was impressed with hes knowledge on pancreatitis, and that made me feel somewhat better... so I will be ok I just get scared as it gets closer.. hope things get better for you.. and let me know what happens on Monday at the U of M... Guest guest
, Thanks dear, I will be scared no matter what but it is good to know that that might happen but did they get you up to put you on the toilet or bed pan? I can't go on bed pans anyway so I hope that they will put me on the toilet, the one time they tried to put me on one for 3 hours and I told them let me get up and go to the toilet and I promise I will go and sure enough the minute my butt hit that sit I was peeing.. the nurse laughed and said I should had listen earlier... I said I hate to tell you so but I told you so..but thanks any way I am glad that you are home and I do hope it helps.. you are in my prayers dear... Guest guest
Dear , I wanted to answer this one. I had my surgery at about 10:30 and I was up and walking at 4:30. That was when I had to use the bathroom. I can't use bedpans either!!! Don't worry that you will go through the same thing. I'm told it is a rare complication...as I said, leave it to me to have something like that happen. You are in my prayers!!!
