Guest guest
Increase water. Get rid of all carbs. Your are in a normal phase of plateau and your body is just saying " HEY, wait a minute, let me catch up!!! " You WILL start to lose again, do not fear. It's a perfectly normal and very typical. Mine lasted three weeks and then it kick started itself. Guest guest
HI , Congratulations on your weight lose. 40 pounds is a lot of weight and your body is adjusting to the sudden weight lose. A majority of us that have had the surgery have gone through many plateaus. It will pass. Just keep up you exercise and drink your water. Do you know if you are getting enough protein. Your body needs usually at least 65 grams of protein a day. It will start up again. Ramona -150 lb.
Guest guest
- I went through the same thing...I also read an article in from the ObesityHelp.com magazine that it is just our bodies adjusting to our new eating patterns. I'm 6 1/2 months post-op a I still go through what I like to call mini plateau's. Just when I think I'm done losing I will drop a few more pounds. You should try taking measurments also....It may be that you are losing inches not pounds... Kelsey Dr. Tanaka 11/11/03 292/179/150 > I NEED HELP! Guest guest
Hi , Don't give up!!!! Plateaux are an unwelcome but very common thing. I hit one at about 4 weeks out and another just recently. The one thing that I have heard about that seems to help break a plateau is to change you exercise routine. On some days, maybe substitute swimming or aqua exercise or some other sort of exercise for your walking. Also, have you been taking your measurements? This last time that my weight stalled, I took my measurements and found that I had lost inches even when the scale seemed stuck.
