If only they had it for a day, they would never say another stupid comment. Love

it {the chap my butt} part, lmao

Suzanne,

It is terrible that your husbands don't " get it. " I am divorced but I have

family members and friends who don't get it.

One of the most maddening things about this disease is the fibro fog and I think

it's the hardest to explain to others. People who say you just need more

structure or to be more organized or plan ahead so you won't be late, etc.chap

my butt.

And then there are those who say I have a low threshhold for pain. Obviously I

feel pain more than other people. Why do they think that? Why can't they

understand that we do hurt that bad and they would too if they had it? As I have

said before, I wish they could all be me for just a little while, so they would

shut up.

Thanks for the vent,

Marti

My hubby is not understanding either and you would think he would be since he

suffers with PD. Like last night for example, I needed to pick up a prescription

and it led into my needing to be more organized and my needing to plan ahead for

these things. He doesn't get that I have a bad memory and my organizational

skills went south with fibro. I can so understand your frustration. He thinks I

am a wimp for needing pain meds or herbs to manage my pain. That I really don't

need all that. When he becomes a dr, then I might listen to him. I am here if

you need to talk.

No need to apologize. Isn't that why we are here? To listen to each other's

worries, fright, pain stories?

I am truly sorry about the seeming lack of support of your husband. Perhaps this

is his way of escaping. Doesn't make it any better, but sometimes the family of

chronic painers just cannot handle us and our pain, because they cannot

understand or help.
