I was reading away at past posts trying to find out if anyone else

out there had had previous health problems which precluded them from

having the GB surgery. I have had a kidney transplant (2 actually)

and I'm wondering if this will prevent me from having a gastric

bypass. Got me thinking and a bit nervous. Anyone have any advise?

Jane,

I don't have any words of wisdom, but I wanted to wish you luck on your journey.

Jane,

I have never heard of anyone having WLS with kidney transplants, but I don't see that it would be contraindicated. They do take every case individually, however, and if your PCP referred you then he/she obviously thinks you are qualified. The surgeon will let you know for sure.

Good luck to you and let us know how it goes,

Laurie W.
