Guest guest
Hi , Sorry I'm so behind on posts. I wanted to tell you that I'm sorry you have been offended by the use of the word witch and I think you are right that we should not use it as a substitute for bitch. I don't want to hurt anyone and I'm sure whoever was using it didn't realize what they were doing. So I wanted to apologize on behalf of the group for offending you. You are entitled to your belief's just like everyone else and I respect that. I wanted to respond to the second part of your letter too. Many of us are use to having to stand up for ourselves. The problem comes when we are so sick and in pain that we can't think straight and then it's hard to do anything but seek help. When the help isn't given a person who normally is assertive and in control can crumble because of the situation. It's hard enough to get up and get dressed and go the an ER, but when someone does this they are in bad shape and just want someone to find out what is wrong and make it go away. I have certainly been in this position, and I normally stand up for myself pretty well. I just wanted to ask that you be as open minded about this situation as you would like us to be about using the word witch. Thanks, Marti alannakitty wrote: I know that we don't tend to cuss on here. So the substitution of other closely related words is somewhat the norm. However, as someone who is wiccan I find the term of replacing witch for b*tch is rather offensive to me. Witches are not bad people. They aren't the hollywood stereotype. We are attractive, moral, nice people. Is it possible to maybe not use " witch " in a non-negative way? I am sorry that you had such a negative experience at the ER. You know... it does suck. But I think we really have to have the emotional security to just tell this people where to stick it. Granted I haven't had the negative experiences that other have had (yet). But I'm sure I will at some point. But I know when that time comes I will be ready. *hugs* ~ --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Yahoo! Search. Guest guest
I’m sorry. I agree with Marti. I have been known to do it all too often.
