Guest guest
Haven't used it in a while. (We use side pork and put salt on it outselves.) But when we did, I never noticed (ASD) having any reaction to the Gwaltney bacon. , mom to > > I recently contacted Organic Prairie to see if they used cornstarch in > packaging their otherwise legal hams and bacon. Guest guest
Question for those of you who use Gwaltney bacon: are you using Gwaltney pork bacon, or their beef bacon? The only store in my area that carrries Gwaltney at all carries only their beef bacon. And it’s unbelievably salty. And beyond that, in my opinion it tastes – and worse, smells – pretty bad. I’m thinking their pork bacon has to be better than that. n From: BTVC-SCD [mailto:BTVC-SCD ] On Behalf Of julie46250 Sent: Saturday, February 28, 2009 5:36 AM To: BTVC-SCD Subject: Re: Corn Starch and Bacon / Prosciutto Haven't used it in a while. Guest guest
I use the pork. I've never even seen their brand of beef bacon. Guest guest
Thanks, Misty. I looked at the Gwaltney website, which is singularly uninformative about what products they actually make/sell. I assumed they must make pork bacon, and my local store simply doesn’t carry it. Now that I know that product does actually exists, I hope I can get my store to change their mind. n From: BTVC-SCD [mailto:BTVC-SCD ] On Behalf Of Misty Sent: Tuesday, March 03, 2009 9:29 AM To: BTVC-SCD Subject: Re: Corn Starch and Bacon / Prosciutto I use the pork.
