Guest guest
I can get my email forwarded to work and read the digest. However, I made an attempt to respond to the group via email and I guess that doesn't post to the actual forum? Or it didn't do it b/c it probably showed a different email address... or my work sucks and blocked it somehow. *grumble* I can't post via the web page at work. I'm hoping that they will unblock Yahoo Groups b/c of its role in our work with our patrons. Until then, is there a way to post to the group via email that doesn't take you to the web page? What does that reply to group email actually do or where does it actually go? I like to be able to post as I read stuff that is meaningful rather than 10-72 hours after the fact. My other email from work is cgraves(at)heitechservices(dot)com Just in case it needs to be added to the listing or something? Thanks! ~ aka Alannakitty (i.e. frustrated worker with FMS)! Guest guest
I do know if you aren't subbed to any Yahoo Groups with that addy you will have to add it yourself. They then send you an email back and you have to veryify it as your email. I think you are allowed to use up to 5 email addys to sub to Yahoo Groups. You just have to 'get the ball rolling' then you can go to the group page and change your preferred email addy within the preferences. The bad thing is you can only use one addy for a group. If you change it to your work addy, you will only be able to respond from that addy. They used to have it so you could choose more than one addy to use but I think they changed it, as I can't find that option any longer. You COULD switch them back and forth though. You can go in on say late Sunday night and change it to your work addy, then on friday afternoons switch it to your home addy. It doesn't take more than a few minutes to take effect.
