My stomach is not completely back into shape but I am eating and enjoying it again. Today, my energy level is up from yesterday so I'm hoping it continues in that direction. Need the next 3 days to get some good food into me as Treatment #3 is on Thursday. My hair started coming out in clumps last week so dh and I went to the barber and had it shaved. Now only the stubble remains. I will upload some pics as soon as I get a minute. Just wanted to say hello to you all. I've been keeping up reading... just haven't been up to posting much. Have to get what I can done before Thursday. Love to you all, Barb

Guest guest
Barb, Don't you just hate that panic of trying to get everything done before next treatment? I too am going for #3 this week. My hair came out in clumps last week, but I haven't shaved it yet. It's the only good laugh I get every morning when I look when I look in the mirror and see all these tufts sticking out. Hang in there! Dianne Barb Roy wrote: Hello to all - Looks like I have finally rounded the corner on my last treatment (#2). Guest guest
Dianne, You are so right! I've got three days to get my business caught up, get some of the house cleaning done and the laundry in order. Since my son is chief cook and bottle washer, I coordinate with him what he will cook so the food is in the house for the 'boys' as well as making sure I have all the foods I might need to make it through the first few days after chemo. The ironic part of this treatment (only my opinion after 2 treatments) is that it will probably take me the full 4 treatments to figure out what works and what doesn't (as far as food and meds) and then I'll be done. My problem with my hair is that I couldn't leave it alone and just kept pulling it out. I still do to some extent as the stubble will come out as I pull but I still have stubble so now it looks like I shaved my head because I wanted to and it's going to grow back in. It's not and I really don't care what someone else thinks. My only concern is I haven't told all my clients (don't think I have to as long as the work gets done) but I'm not sure their reaction when they see me. Don't want them to think I can't do the work. So far, other than a day delay I've kept up with it all. I just don't take on any new clients at this time. So how are you doing? I'm a little worried about #3, but hoping since I seem to have the indigestion under control right now, that it won't be as much of a problem with this treatment. The Neulasta shot still knocks me on my butt for about 36 hours but I can deal with that. Good luck this week. Guest guest
Barb, I have the same problem with the neulasta shot. I give myself the shot on Thursday, the day after chemo on Wednesday, and Friday, Saturday & Sunday are my worst days. At least now I know not to plan on doing much those days. Tomorrrow will be #3 of 8 for me. Are you done after 4? It's so hard to go back again when except for being tired I feel good right now. Good luck with your third. Guest guest
Dianne, I have chemo on Thursday morning, go back Friday afternoon for the Neulasta shot. I feel okay before then (#2 I had indigestion almost from the start) but once I get the shot, almost before I even get home the jaw starts hurting and then my head. My dh says I'm clenching even when I don't feel like I'm doing it. The last 2 times I have spend all day Saturday in bed, feeling like I have a bad headache, sore jaw and body aches. Sunday is still not a great day and I'm usually nauseous. It will be interesting to see what happens this time as I'm hoping we got the indigestion somewhat under control. Since they slowed down the Cytoxin, the headache this last time wasn't as bad and I had another med for the nausea. It took me longer to bounce back this time, but I still think it might be due to the indigestion as I could not eat. Once I started back on the protein, things got better. I now have a stock of Ensure, have found a juice (non acidic) that I can add to my water, and some bland foods that seem to help. I'm hoping I'm better prepared. I have 4 treatments of A/C, tomorrow my 3rd, then on to Taxol with radiation at the same time. I'm doing dose dense, every 2 weeks. Now, because I've had problems, that might change. Onc said I could handle the Taxol and the radiation together, but then everything has been strange with my case according to him. (I think from everyone here and their experiences, there really isn't anything strange, we all react different, we all have unusual problems at times.) I know what you mean about feeling good and going back. I have that same hesitation and then I also know I can do this... with God's help, I can make it through these treatments. I get about 4 good days and really feel full of energy and get a lot done these last 3 days. Just hope it continues like that as that makes these treatments all worth while when I can see my strength coming back even though I know Thursday we have to do it all over again. Good Luck tomorrow. I'll be anxious to see how you do. 's post about feeling better the 3rd treatment was encouraging. Hope we have the same results.
