Guest guest
Hi Bongo, I can really understand your concern about your 24 hour. Is there any chance that there was any variation in the collection? For instance, could you have missed a void or could it have not been exactly 24 hours? It is hard to say without knowing more information. But since you are stressed about it, there is nothing wrong with calling your Nephrologist to discuss your concerns and see what he has to say. Please keep us posted. Guest guest
If you started on an ACE inhibitor or some other BP meds before that (it can take a while), it could have dropped your creatinine clearance. That's one possibility, but you really should ask your doctor. Without knowing anything more about your situation, it's hard to say. I think it's unlikely that you have lost that much real kidney function in just a month. Guest guest
The only things I could think of are either you missed a collection, it wasn't a full 24hours, or perhaps you were in the midst of a flare up at the time of collection? I'd call your neph and talk to them about this. It sounds like a big jump in such a short period of time. Amy G. results I've just had my third 24hr urine collection test done, and in less than a month creatinine clearance has dropped from 89ml/min to 62ml/min, with no change in my medication (being 93ml/min last May @ diagnosis). Could somebody please comment as i am stressing.
