Guest guest
Hi Colleen You sure sound like you qualify to me. Gosh diabetes, thats scary. I feel very fortunate. My BMI was 45 and the only serious thing I had was severe gerd. Thank heavens my doctor sent me and that I was accepted so easily. I think the sooner they do this on us the less illnesses we can avoid. Kaiser Southern California sends you to a 12- week class its called " The Bariatric Surgery Class " its a 12-wwek mandatory class. Then they send your paperwork to Los Angles and you're approved from their and then go for your surgery appt's. My surgeon said if I had been any smaller she wouldn't have done the surgery. I was a hundred pounds over weight. I think that should qualify people. The 12-week class was very good. We also had to go to a seminar put on by the surgeons. Anyway my prayers will be with you that they process you quilckly so no other problems will occur. Good luck in your journey.
