Guest guest
JoAnn, Cheese curds are an aquired taste. Like mozzerella deep fried with a coating, Can't think of what you call the coating. It escapes my head. Kinda Midwestern think with all the dairy cows we have around here. I think it's the oil and cheese that hits my spot. Toby got threw up after he accidently ate one. So what does that tell you.LOL It's just about ready to storm here. It's only been a couple of days since the last one. Getting along on my quilt making. Now that's all I want to do. I get complusive on some things. I just want to get it together so I can take my time quilting it. Tried to give Toby a small hair cut. Don't ever think I will get the dog cutting down. He looks a little lopsided on his muzzule. Guess I'll take him down for the rest. Hope you had a splended weekend . Gotta catch up on e--mails. Guest guest
Laurie I lived in Iowa for many years and always saw cheese curds but just never knew what they were and not brave enough to try but do like mozzarella cheese so might like them. Don't they dip them into a mild to lightly hot dip? That is how recall them where I lived. Thanks for the info Laurie and glad your getting more done for your quilt. I do not really understand, another thing, you put these squares together but what type of sewing makes these squares a " quilt " when you say you need to get squares done so you can quilt them what does that include Laurie? Is it all hand done? You sound alot like me when I get something on my mind I will just go and go and then regret, regret, as usually is changing things inside house, cleaning everything and not doing it a little each day, or trying to run every errand there is in one day. Just plain stupid on my part yet with age is not coming any wisdom. Weird I thought I was to be wiser as got older. Oh well, you take care of yourself please. I wonder what weather is like in MN.? My sister in law lives there but have not talked to her lately. Have better day. Thanks for update my friend. s Momma JoAnn Re: replies JoAnn/Cheese Curds > > JoAnn, > Cheese curds are an aquired taste. Guest guest
JoAnn, Yes the put a batter around the cheese. I have never seen hot or mild. About the quilting squares, they are called blocks which can be 12x12 inches around. You machiene sew these together which forms the top of the quilt. There are 3 layers to the quilt, top(your design) middle (batting, which is insulation) backing (is the back of quilt, usually a muslin fabric) Once all 3 layers are basted(Large stiches that hold all 3layers together) I put it on a quilting rack that stretches is taught. Then I start quilting , which are tiny hand sew stitches - - - - that either follow the design of the quilt or a pattern that is traced on the top. Hope this helps a little. ddidn't do much of it yesterday. I have been so sleepy. Sleeping at odd times. I don't know what the heck is going on. I think maybe new antibotic that I'm on. Woke up around 5 am and slowly got myself together. Just came back from taking toby for a walk and I could go right back to bed. It's Like fall in MN 60's durning the day and 40's at nite for the next few days. There hasn't been the usual summer this year. Take care, Be wise for the day.
