Guest guest
I have heard other people on another board talk about the menu, but I don't remember where they were from... I hope it gets to OK soon! I'll ask about it next time I go. in oKC <>< 238/215/208 > I wonder if we are the test market or something like that? Guest guest
>>>On the WW.com message boards they're having quite a discussion about Applebee's, and some people shared that they felt the entrees were small. I'm here to tell you that the mesquite chicken salad was NOT small....it was served in a very large salad platter/bowl and was delicious.<<< I had this salad and it was pretty small with very little lettuce. I know they are being trained on portion size, but I'm still a little leery about this. It did taste ok though. Jenn
Guest guest
This is something I wondered about too, from way back, when someone first mentioned WW meals in restaurants. Just how good are the people preparing them, at doing them right, the weighing, portions, etc. I guess I can't help but wonder the same thing as Jenn and I too would be leary. I would probably add an extra 2-3 points to the meal part I guess, but that is just me. Considering that we could order something done the WW way is still going to be done a whole lot better than the other menus, less fat, making less points and all that.. Still a good deal for anyone who can find a restaruant that does it..But I still don't understand why there should be such differences in sizes. Other meals are usually pretty consistent.. Anyway just one of my out loud thoughts here....Kallie ================================================================== In Serious-Weight-Watchers , " Jenn Zieser " <JSA1969@M...> wrote: > >>>On the WW.com message boards they're having quite a discussion about > Applebee's, and some people shared that they felt the entrees were small. > I'm here to tell you that the mesquite chicken salad was NOT small....it was > served in a very large salad platter/bowl and was delicious.<<< > > I had this salad and it was pretty small with very little lettuce. Guest guest
>>>I talked to (I was standing there and he just started talking to me) the General Manager at our local Applebee's the other day when I stopped to get a take-out, the Grilled Chicken Citrus Salad. He told me that they are VERY PRECISE in all the WW meals (at least at his store). He has warned everyone that makes them that if they are not following the instructions exactly, they can lose their jobs because we (WW) expects them to be perfect on measurements. I don't know if they are this serious about it at other locations but he sounded like he was telling me the truth. By the way, I didn't think the salad was small, in fact, I couldn't even eat it all and saved some for later. I will definitely go back and try others.<<< Oh I'm not doubting that most Applebee's will do their best to get the portions right. Still...I don't have a huge appetite and I wasn't full after eating the salad. I would guess there was only a cup of lettuce on my plate and then some toppings...probably only two cups worth of salad, which to me, isn't that much. I think the Mc's salads (as I said before) are about twice as big. Anyway...it doesn't matter to me much as I do think the meals are healthy and right now, that's what matters to me the most since I'm dealing with my PCOS symptoms right now.
