Guest guest
The vicoden DOES have added aceta...whatever!! I don't know why some doctors just arbitrarily make up their minds about one certain treatment. I take the plain oxycodone, no added anything else. I CAN take all of the OC pain meds except , oh I can't remember the name right now, the newest one. AHA!! Aleve is the one I can't take! I am obviously allergic to it. I take the oxys without any other stuff so's I can take as many as I might need without worrying about ODing on aspirin or tylenol. If I feel the need, I can take 2 aspirin or tylenol, or even sometimes 2 Excedrin, which work best, but cost the most. I also occasionally take a prescription motrin along with the oxy. They work well too, but as you said, all of these things are worse on our systems than the plain narcotics. I think you should have another go at changing your doctor's mind. It really can't hurt, especially if you point out the danger of the tylenol on your body. Each and every day, reading the stories of the members here, I say a little prayer of thanks for my own doctor. I wish I could clone him and send him to everyone who would want him. Even people who can't take opiates...he would work to find something non-narcotic that might help. He is so patient and understanding. He really understands this affliction, and he really cares about his patients. Peace and Love Caroline > My doctor seems stuck on vicoden.
