Guest guest
Hi , There are a few low carbers around there. My sister is an on again off again low carber but she isn't online. Plus she is extremely busy with her job, and husband and kids and grandkids. I have a cousin that low carbs (does stack actually) and she is online and in the South Bend area but she has a new grandbaby too so is too busy to chat online. I have done low carb for a couple of years more recently started following atkins induction. I use it to keep my blood sugar normal. It does that well but the weight loss is minimal and I have a lot to lose. I think it is the combination of age (50) and a lot of insulin resistance. I am desperate enough to think of dropping all dairy. I know I can do it since we kept our youngest daughter dairy free for about 8 years due to sensitivities to it. I won't like it however. I really like my coffee with cream. Or I could say I really like my coffee. Since it is summer I could switch to ice tea I suppose. I have to make it at home since we are near the mason dixon line and people think we are in the south and it is hard to get unsweetened ice tea. I spend most of my time with my new granddaughter(3 1/2 months) since her mom is back at work and my son works out of the home and it is hard to accomplish too much if you spend the day playing with the baby. I intend to come to Mich. either in July or August. My neice has a new baby I haven't seen and that isn't like me. I have to work around my youngest daughter's and the baby's schedules. I waited a long time for this grand baby. Talk to you soon.
Guest guest
Hi ..Welcome to our group. I live in land about 50 miles south of DC. Where in Virginia do you live? Sounds like your family has had its share of our "friend" NF2. My 2 kids also do not want to know unless something occurs. It is their decision and I really can't blame them. I am finding that these tumors can grow any where they have a mind to. It is awful in that if we feel "something" or get a pain, tumor comes to mind. Are they going to do anything about the one on your toe? Don't be afraid to ask any question. Someone will usually pop up and try to answer. Welcome! Guest guest
Can't remember if I welcomed you or not, so welcome. This is a great group. That warning is just saying to give us a chance. Many of us get a day or two or three behind on posts, so it might seem like you're being ignored, but that's not the case. I hope you find us caring and supportive. Take care.
