After I had my son (14 years ago), I had to take Synthroid for hypothyrodism. I have been on every diet and diet pill known to man. One of the last diets I was on was Atkins. I lost 15 pounds in 2 weeks and then I lost in ounces for the next 2 months I do believe. I had my thyroid rechecked. I was normal, but on the low side of normal. I had my MGB 3 weeks ago yesterday. I lost 12 pounds the first week and only 3 in the past 2 weeks.I did shift my diet from liquids after the 10 days and did not wait the month. I was weak feeling and felt I was not getting enough with the liquids. I know I am not overeating cause after a few bites I am full.I don't drink a lot of juice.Maybe 6 to 10 ounces of oj at the most a day. The rest of the time I drink water.Maybe all the yo yo dieting has messed me up . I am sure most everybody on here has yo yo too, but it seems most everybody else's weight just falls off this soon after surgery. I guess I am lucky I am not hungry and I am not craving things. Just wish the weight would come off faster.Sometimes i think its cause I don't eat enough. I really don't know. Guess I am just going to be a slow loser and that is disappointing to me.Good luck with whatever you decide. There are some great people who have had great results on here to guide you. S.C.
