Today

Today I took a big step in my relationship with Alan, I met his daughters. They are 11 and 9. Boy, do they have a lot of ENERGY. LOL The nice thing is that they are old enough not to have to be entertained. It went really well and weather permitting they are coming back next weekend. :) Their names are Meghan and .

TODAY

Hi Everybody...Went to see Beth Wagner richmond's registered dietician today to review my nutritional needs. Truthfully, I'm not very creative when it comes to food so I'm looking for advice on meals. Basically, I've followed the 1200 calorie diet to the letter for six weeks now (successfully) and I'm seeking ideas for "new" food items to enhance my current food regimen. For example, Gemello once reccommended egg salad sandwiches to me and although that seems like a no brainer I would probably never have thought of it.regardsGordy36 cubes away from WLS

That canned chicken is the BEST -- no "canned" flavor. Tastes really fresh. It's the Kirkland brand at Costco (about $9 or $10.00 for 6 big cans).

i like chicken salad sandwichs, i get the canned chicken at costco, a little mayo fresh celery and some spices like ( mrs dash) very yummy. I sometimes like to buy bruchetta at trader joes in the jar or the fridge case and put a little on the low carb tortillas and thats good too. not sure what else but maybe you might like one of those. Your are doing so good sticking to the 12oo calorie diet....................Go Gordy

I like the following:

Cholent. It sounds gross, but take dried kidney, rose, and black beans, a little bit of meat, 1/2 onion, salt pepper, and chili powder to taste, and put it in a 6 QT pot, and fill 3/4 of the way with water. Cook for a minimum of 12 hours. It is delicious, filling, and freezes well. I love lentil soups. hardboiled eggs, and moushrooms in tomato sauce!Lesa wrote:

OK.. now for some tips.. different ideas for food... you can try to eat cheese rapped in Turkey lunch meat... , for a sweet tooth... make sugar free Kool-aid.. or make with splenda (its good) and then freeze it in an ice tray makes great Popsicles ...... if you like tortillas then three corn equal one flour.. great with an egg, scrambled with salsa.. really good and you can also cook them in the microwave in a small cup..
