I took them a year ago, and they did seem to take alittle bit of the pain away. But they are so expensive, when I was first on them I was on Medicaid, Now I am on Medicare and having to pay for all my meds. These are very expensive a box, I know if your doctor would just increase the dosage on your Methadone I know you would feel alot better. Methadone has always helped with mine, nothing takes the PAIN completely away. Oh how we all wish, huh! My skin is on fire, right now my skin is so red like a sunburn and so very shiny. I have been noticing that my muscles are shrinking, and having a hard time of walking. I feel so horrible in the morning and at night. Have a pain free day and night. It says nothing about taking it to help increase the effect of the medications. And, I haven't really noticed any difference in my meds when I do take it, or don't take it. I'm on Methadone and Actiq Suckers...... If that is correct I know for myself that I get knots all over and feels like every muscle, tendon etc. is aching, stretched to past limit, and can really understand how much pain you are in. I am very interested in how the Methadone works for the Fibro. I cannot recall what else you have been on for the RSD and Fibro together but I take Duragesic Patches and just wonder if the Pain med of Methadone works well for both rsd and Fibro or just works best for one problem over the other.......hope that makes sense, know I can make things sound confusing. Well shall let you go and know I sure do pray that you find some pain relief. Having so much pain is exhausting to all of us. It feels like it has gone all the way down to the bone, it must be the tendons and joints. Somedays the pain is so bad it feels like someone has taken a baseball and slammed it into my legs, that how painful mine is. Do you have horrible pressure with yours, somedays I feel like I could explode!!! But as for the Methadone for the pain for RSD & Fibro it works for both diseases!! Like I said before nothing takes the pain completely away, but I get about 60 to 70 percent better from the Methadone and I have been on it for 4 years, so I am up at 200 mgs daily. I wanted to see about the Demerol but my doctor said this drug is highly addictive, and he wanted me on the Methadone, but it does not give you the high feeling, and addictive stage. I have to agree with him on this. I will have to try the Skelaxin 800 mgs for the muscle pain, to see if that will work on my muscle pain. I can't get going until noon or later everyday. I also take Adderral, it's for energy. It's like Ritalin, it gives me a big boost!!! I need this, somedays I can hardly walk from all the pain. So I can relate with you on your pain. As for your question about the memory lapse, that is me all the way. I can't remember what I said a minute later. It's very frustrating!!! Have a good one.
