link for lumbar spondylosis/Debi

Thanks for another helpful link, Debi. This is exactly what I have going on

in my low back. Like someone mentioned a couple weeks back, if we wait long

enough, the spine sort of creates its own fusion without surgery, but

meanwhile we get to have lots of pain. Hope your day is going well so far.

done on my spine, I think that one diagnosis was spondylosis. I

happened to mention it to my cousin in a conversation one evening and

he said " Oh, I've got that, I just make sure I do all of the

exercises the physcial therapist gave me and I can make it through

the day ok! " About a year or two later, I called to ask him a

question and his wife obviously wanted to get off the phone very

quickly, so in no time I was talking to this guy who sound as if he

really had tied a big one on --- either that or he had started taking

drugs! As soon as I got off the phone, I called his sister and

said " What on earth is wrong with ny??? " Well, she wanted to

know why I was talking to him and I told her whatever it was and then

she said he was going in the next morning to have back surgery!!! I

think if I had been in his presence at that time, I would have

laughed so hard! Because he told me " you've just got to do those

exercises!!! " I don't remember if I spoke to him after that or not

but I did find it very amusing -- and especially because he can be so

weird at times. I used to hope he would be like the big brother I

lost as they were very close in ages, but no, he never has been and

never will be!

I know I should have some sympathy for him but after the lecture

about the exercises working and then he still had to have the

surgery, I don't give him too much credence on certain subjects!
