Just this morning, I was ready my paperwork I got from the hospital on Tuesday and in the midst of reading, I burst into tears.... I was not sure if they were happy ones or scared to death ones! I think quite a mixture. My prayers are with you... best of luck to you! I was on an emotional rollercoaster for a few weeks before and at least a month after. It is such a life changing event! I was scared of having something go wrong during surgery, scared about how my body would react to the surgery, scared if I would be able to enjoy food at all again, but at the same time I was excited about the possibilities that I expected. Whew! It's exhausting thinking back on those feelings. What really helped me put my nerves to rest was when I saw my surgeon 2 days before the surgery and I told him how scared I was. He asked if I would like to say a prayer with him and we prayed together with my husband and it really put my fears aside. In God we trust! I trusted he would guide my surgeon and whatever happened was meant to be. Good luck to you! in Virginia 299/239/150 (60 lbs down WOOHOO!) Lap RNY: 5/3/06 What If's!? I keep trying to focus on the good, but I am so scared just because I know I am going to change from my regular lifestyle. I am scared that I wont be capable or something even though I think i have a lot of knowledge. My surgeon was happy that I was in this group. Even though I can not post alot because I work a lot I do read as many post as I can! I am just excited and I wont let any feelings get in a way of something that can make my life better. so everyone wish me luck too!!!! The day is almost here.
