Guest guest
I was told that I could have very little in the way of fried foods since most are coated in flour batter and most restaurants don't use the least damaging of cooking oils (I have cholesterol and heart conditions). White flour is one of my triggers, so little amounts only and only rarely. I don't totally cut anything out of my diet, either. I still occasionally have potatoes or rice (never white bread, though), but it isn't often and it's usually about half the recommended serving size. Most things I have the sugar-free alternatives. Even so, I will occasionally allow myself a tiny bit of the real thing. It hasn't hurt me any. My numbers are still running 80- 130 which is far superior to the 300+ I was getting at diagnosis.
