Guest guest
Ok, since earlier today it has bugged me reading all our posts about people not believing us cause there are no tests etc. I rememeber reading a few researches about certain anomalies people with Fibromyalgia have. So I compiled my research from a few different websites and medical journals on Fibromyalgia. (used to work in a library I can find anything!) So here are some diagnostic test results found in Fibromyalgia patients. We do have a few proof, apparently the tests are not widely known. Please note I only looked up Fibromyalgia, I realize most suffer from Fibro and Chronic Fatigue but I just started with Fibromyalgia! Hope this helps to prove things, the next time someone thinks it's in our heads! NC DIAGNOSTIC TESTS PROVING FIBROMYALGIA - lack of serontonin - lack of slow-wave sleep and difficulty reaching stage 4 sleep - Fibromyalgia patients produce inadequate levels of Human Growth Hormone (HGH) - The hormones IGF-1, cortisol, leptin and neuropeptide Y are at abnormal levels - Accumulation of phosphate and calcium found in cells (usually kidneys or digestive area) - Higher amounts of cerebrospinal fluid MEAP - While doing a fast paced MRI test if you squeeze a fibromyalgia's finger you can note on the MRI scan of the brain that abnormal areas of the brain are affected than normal patients meaning we feel the squeeze as a different type of pain (majority of hospitals never do this MRI it's very expensive and needs a different machine then usual, but it is still proof)

Guest guest
My doctor told me she could confirm Fibro with a muscle biopsy. Has anyone heard of this? Guest guest
Thanks . I just wish the medical community would recognize these things and maybe we would not be labeled idiots.
