Guest guest
Dear Trisha, You just stay at home and let yourself be pampered. This chemo stuff takes alot out of you and you can't expect your body to bounce back instantly. I made the mistake of volunteering in my kids' school and going on an overnight girl scout camping trip. Just surrounded by germs :-) It took me 3 weeks to shake the cold I got. Just rest, have vitamins, red meat, iron supplements, and whatever can help your body. I started taking CoQ10 - it's suppose to build up your immune system and is good for your heart. take care,
Guest guest
Trish, We all need a good whine now and then and you are certainly entitled! Now if you could combine that with a good WINE you will be all set and feel much better. Ruth > > > Just got home from my weekly blood check and they were amazed that I am > standing. Guest guest
Trisha, Take it easy, now is not the time for you to get sick with something else. When your body says slow down, I guess we need to listen. Hope a few days will perk you up and your counts will start to rise. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Guest guest
Oh, poor Trisha, you whine as much as you like - you're entitled to, and that's what we're all here for! We all know you're a strong minded lady, but your body isn't all that strong at present, so you just look after it properly. None of this offering it germs and tiring exercise, however much fun that sounds ... It takes a long time for chemo to work itself out of your body, so if you're tired you just rest. Pamper yourself. Or better still let someone else pamper you! You will get through this, you'll see - Love and hugs, Margery. ============================================ margery@... in North Herts, UK ============================================ From: breastcancer2 [mailto:breastcancer2 ] On Behalf Of TrishaSent: 01 May 2006 17:10To: breastcancer2 Subject: WHINE WHINE WHINE Just got home from my weekly blood check and they were amazed that I am standing. Guest guest
Trisha That does sound familiar............I have slept the last three days away. With time in between for meals. The chemo is hitting me harder this time and I suppose it is accumulating in its effect. So I will get to bed early tonight and hope I have energy tomorrow. Got the runs too, so my stomach is lurching around. Next year at this time.................I will be glad I went through this chemo. And radiation next. Guest guest
Hi .... And all, Thanks for the good wishes. WOW this last one really has me by the boobs...lol I have never been this weak and I feel so useless. Knowing that our fellow RV campers are all out camping together today and we are sitting at home really hacks me off. I hated being grounded when I was a kid and I hate it even more now. Lol Girls just wanna have fun!!! I am feeling better today. I went to the Radiologist yesterday to set up my radiation program. I am to return the 15th to map out the plan and get the tattoos. I just want all this "body" stuff to be O V E R.... As all of the rest of you do. My radiologist prescribed Neurotin for me to take at night and last night was the first night I have been able to fall asleep right away for a lonnnnnnng time. I haven't been able to get out and get any "boosters" for me. Had to stay away from the grocery stores and such. But like I say, I am feeling better and stronger today so perhaps tomorrow I can get out. Guest guest
Trisha, Glad to hear you are feeling a little better. Don't over due... better to miss one RV trip than the whole summer. It is so encouraging to hear so many of 'you' getting to the end of the treatment and yet, so upsetting to see so many new members just since I joined on. We may have good treatments, and thank the Lord we do, but we need better detection, better prevention, better cures. Sorry, off the soap box now.... just take care of yourself. Guest guest
Trisha I know the drs told me to stay away from grocery store on weekends and big sale days. But I am getting so tired of being home alone I have cabin fever. So I was invited out for lunch today and I accepted. Nine of us who exercise at the Sr Health Clinic get together once a month. And we had loads of laughs today, so then I went shopping for short sleeved blouses and ended up with three....Penneys had a sale. Also, had to pick up my new drawer pulls and knobs for kitchen cabinets. With my fingers peeling it was gettting harder to open those dumb cabinets without any hardware on them. Does anyone else have this problem? Anyway, so I am feeling much better today and tomorrow is watercolor painting class.....then on Friday I have my second chemo IV of month four. He did say I could stop after five months and I am seriously considering that. , I am praying for your husband too. And for you. I too love this group.
