Guest guest
According to Enig, a researcher very respected in BTVC circles, Coconut oil helps adrenal problems. As well as being a natural anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral. It also helps to stabilize weight (although that process still seems *magical* to me - in the sense that I'm not yet understanding the chemistry of the process and feel I have to take it a bit on faith.) >>I can attest to coconut oil helping me lose and then maintain my weight – in the past. I have been eating it on and off since 2003 and usually between 3 to 6 tablespoons a day. I also agree that it can help your adrenals, however, it’s not an answer to everything. I currently have incredibly high cortisol and have trouble sleeping, despite eating coconut oil every day. High cortisol can have many causes and if the cause is for example an adrenal or pituitary tumor, then I think coconut oil will not help. However, overall I believe coconut oil is excellent for your health, skin, metabolism, and a natural way to fight against viruses, bacteria, and parasites. a _,_._,___

It also helps to stabilize weight (although that process still seems *magical* to me - in the sense that I'm not yet understanding the chemistry of the process and feel I have to take it a bit on faith.) If you interested in that process – and the whole process of how the body turns food into energy – read Life Without Bread by Wolfgang Lutz and Christian Allan (mentioned here the other day). They advocate a low-carbohydrate diet and describe why the body needs that, and much higher amounts of protein and fat, and thus why such a diet is helpful for a whole range of ailments. And why such a diet actually helps thin people to gain weight and heavy people to lose weight. Some of it’s a bit technical, but I found all their explanations very helpful. The body processes are obviously the same whether you’re on that diet or the SCD. Also, they talk much more than Elaine Gottschall does about what to expect when you start such a diet. (Theirs differs from hers, as the poster the other day said, in that it allows up to a certain amount of carbohydrates of all kinds, not just monosaccharides.) Your public library may have a copy of the book. One of the libraries in our area library network had it (and BTVC as well), though the tiny village library nearby here didn’t. I requested both and had them within a few days. n No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG.
