Guest guest
One other problem Brett told the Dr. about which he didn't tell me : he has been having sore throats a lot and says his voice gets raspy when he talks for a while (his parents talk for about an hour when they call from CA). I worry about that. The Dr. took down some notes. She also told him it was extremely imp. that he have his eyes tested right now. I guess she saw something there. B. > >Hello all... >I went to the Dr. w/ Brett this am. The doctor hadn't received his latest lab work (done two weeks ago). I have to go to Med. Records tomorrow, have Brett sign a release and get a copy of the lab work so that I can fax it to her. She noticed that Brett's flares were constant so she want to split the pred. (morning and evening) and take advil along w/ it. She seemed to be thinking of other meds but didn't want to so anything until she received the blood work. I mentioned enbrel to her and she said that drug was having some positive responces in patients. She asked it there was a test group on the east coast, I said I didn't know but I know of a few patients who are on the drug and they seem to be having positive reactions. > >She will get his lab work tomorrow and get back to us. We have another appointment in two months. >Brett (and I) still get a bit tense going to the Dr., but we are very happy with her. She mentioned Dr. Trentham and the research he is doing on RP. I feel confident that she is aware of all that might be out there on RP, but at the same time knows that RP is hart to chart. >Prayers go out to all, > B. >
