Guest guest
Greetings all, In doing research on IBS, I've noticed some startling contradictory plans between SCD and a high soluble fiber diet like the one described by Van Vorous, at helpforibs.com and in her book, IBS: the First Year. HVV appears to endorse lots of things BTVC makes illegal (starches, In particular) and argue against some staple of BTVC, such as fat, red meat, dairy, etc. I was surprised, and a bit dismayed, there could be that much disagreement. Is IBS different enough from UC or CD that it would warrant such a different approach? In the BTVC foreward, Dr Hoffman seems to reject such a difference, but I'm curious if anyone else has tried the HVV diet? thanks!
