I'm scared to death right now. Basically what's happening lately is

almost every workout when my heart rate gets elevated my heart will

start skipping beats every 2 to 3 beats. Thump THump pause Thump

Thump Thump pause...in that order.

This feels very awkward because you can feel it doing it. I have

been to Univ of Michigan Hospital before, but not specifically about

this arrythmia, this one's a new one. A couple years ago i went to

the ER complaining of an irregular beat, which turned out to be

Atrial Fibrillation. This was triggered by Myoplex that I was taking

2-3 times a day. When istopped taking it, my problems seemed to go

away.

It's been recent, about 1 month before X mas that i really noticed

this skipping beat thing. I got away from working out for about 2

weeks (went to FLorida on Vacation) and didn't seem to have that

skipped beat thing happen anymore until just this month. Now every

cardio workout it starts and it scares the hell out of me.

I went to my Internal Medicine doctor (regular doctor) and she told

me if it keeps doing that after 15 mins, go to the Hospital. Well,

that scared the hell out of me, just hearing that. Usually it

doesn't keep doing it. When my heart rate calms back down it stops,

either that or just is so faint i can't feel it anymore.

Anyways, now it's affecting my training because it makes it that

much harder to lose fat.

Maybe I SHould not do high intensity cardio anymore as that's what

seems to bring it on. Maybe i should just go for 2-3 mile walks for

cardio. In any event, I'm scared to death.

I'm 26 yrs old, too young for a damn pacemaker, and that's one

possible risk with getting the surgery, although it's a very very

small risk, less than 1% i think.

I currently take 20mg Propranolol twice a day. I saw the internal

med doc, she prescribed 3 times a day now.

I'm just scared.

If iw ere to get an EP study , is that risky ?
