Hello everyone! I am new to the group. I would like to get to know everybody.

Can someone please answer my biggest question??

" How do I know if I have fibromyalgia, or if my muscle pain and stiffness that I

wake up with every morning, is because we were moving and I was lifting heavy

boxes all day for 4 weeks straight, while all at the same time getting the new

house together, cleaning out a storage unit, cleaning the old residence, cooking

dinner every night, still keeping up running my business from home, helping my

friend move too, and going about 16 hours a day with hardly any break at all? "

How do I know I'm not just exhausted? I moved in 2 months ago but ever since I

started all this hard labor business, I am still stiff and sore all over, every

single day! What is going on? I am 39, female, I rest and eat healthy.

Sincerely,

Ann Shrader

>Ann, I was diagnosed with fibro in October of 2005, I was having the

same systems aching all over, tired all the time,I was like this for 3

months went to see my Dr. he told me I was depressed, prescribed me

prozac, I didn't take it, because I knew it was much more than

depression. Continued for another 3 months with the same symptoms went

back to him to be diagnosed with fibro! He did try to write me out

another prescription for antidepressants, but my system is so

sensitive I can not take them, so I am on Xanax, zomig for

migraines, vicodine for pain and flexoral to relax my muscles when I

get extremely stressed out, also B-12 injections 1x a month as he said

that 60%of people with fibro are B-12 def. Have you seen your Dr.

about your signs and symptoms? Good luck and keep us updated! Leanne

The best way that I know of is to go to a rheumatologist, since they are

considered to be the experts in the field and have one of them test you for it

and at the same you will be tested to see if it is something else.

Love and gentle hugs,

Hi Ann,

Welcome to the group.

I learned I had fibromyalgia after two years of doctors trying to find out

what was wrong with me. Basically trying to dx me with everything in the book

before settling on fibromyalgia. I was tested for Lyme disease, Lupus, RA,

mono, Epstein Barr and the list goes on and on. In 1991 the Rheumatologist I

was seeing dx me with fibro. I had almost all the tender and trigger points and

tested negative for everything else. That was the only way I knew that I was

lucky enough to have fibro and not something that could be cured or I would

recover from.

Did you feel the overwhelming exhaustion before the move started or did it

just come on afterward? How long has it been since you finished the move? It's

hard to answer your question, but a trip to the doctor is a good start.

Take care, Marti
