Guest guest
It has to do with the way the group was originally set up by the owners. If they have set up for plain text, then no matter how we type a message, it comes through the list in the small font. It saves a lot of web site space by doing it this way. But I believe it is possible to change if the owners decide they want to. Guest guest
Until they change it, you can hit reply, then right click on message, click " select all " then click on font size and you can enlarge it to read. Hope that helps for now. Lori suggested it to me. Dave and Jeanne wrote: It has to do with the way the group was originally set up by the owners. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. 3. To unsubscribe the e-mail is: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group-unsubscribe 4. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense of humor. 5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls let us know so that we can do our best to offer our support. Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
Jeanne, the owners don't have to change anything for members to be able to change the font size. Anyone reading from the website should be able to alter the size of the type face in their browser window by just enlarging the text size in their browser window. I know you can do this with Microsoft explorer and i would imagine that other broswers like netscape, mozilla and firefox also offer that option. lisa n. Guest guest
I have not heard anything back yet so hang in there. I am really sick today so I will be on and off the rest of the day. Guest guest
OK - I see your point. I went into Options under Outlook Express and saw where I could adjust the font that I am reading. I don't have trouble with the small fonts yet. May someday in the future, though. But, I also know from setting up my own Yahoo groups, that the owner can choose how text comes through on the group. With a large group of this size, it does save space on the server to leave it as plain text.
