Guest guest
Yes unfortunately I had a Pet scan that was suspicious, had a bone marrow biopsy, and yes have Lymphma all up and down the inside of my spine and in my sinuses (the bones around them, not the cavities), and inside other bones as well. I learned all of this in August. So yes it's bone cancer, Sarcoidosis and FM and IBS and hypothyroid, asthma, sleep apnea, narcolepsy, AADD, etc. Thanks for the concern. I appreciate it. Guest guest
Oh Marti, sorry to read you have bone cancer. Hope you can get chemo or something for it. I have thyroid cancer but it's not as serious. Serious side-effects though. May God Be with you. Guest guest
Thank you Debbie, I am waiting now for the team of doctors studying it to decide on the type of treatment I need. We are just hoping that it has been caught soon enought for the treatments to do any good. I feel confident we can do something. I'm sorry to hear you have thyroid cancer. That must be hard too, particularly on top of everything else. Blessed be, Marti deebs87 wrote: Oh Marti, sorry to read you have bone cancer. Hope you can get chemo or something for it. Guest guest
Wow - I can't believe you have such a positive attitude and are able to participate in the group with so much going on with your health. I've come to love reading your posts. Thanks for sharing how you fell off the toilet. LOL! It had to be in a public place, too. Oh well. I will keep you in my prayers. Are they treating your cancer? Can it go into remission? Guest guest
Hi Jeanne, What a nice thing to say. I'm glad you enjoy my posts. I never can tell if I'm saying the right thing, so your feedback is greatly appreciated. Do you think I'm a little insecure. I can get really down in the dumps and have depressive problems, but I try to approach everything with a laugh. Sometimes it throws people I see or talk to off and makes them sure I'm really doing OK and not in excruiating pain. Since I just learned about the bone cancer in August, the doctors are still trying to decide the best manor to treat it. I think at least one round of strong chemo is in my future in January. I assume it can go into remission like other cancers, but am not sure. Time will tell. I think participating in the group is one of the main things that keeps me going. I'm sitting here now with my left shoulder and upper back in pain, but I would just be sitting somewhere else and wouldn't have anyone to talk to. This group has given me friends, unlike the ones who drifted away as soon as they knew I had a chronic illness and couldn't keep plans much of the time. I quickly became too much trouble. Almost all of the rest of them floated away when the word cancer was mentioned. I've quit telling anyone but a tiny few, and of course you guys how I feel. This group keeps me in touch with the rest of the world out there that I can't participate in and makes me feel less lonely and a part of something. Yeah, the story about falling off the toilet if one for the books. Thank God no rescue people had to be called in, but it is a small local place and I knew half the people in it. This happened when I was still a member of the outside world, several years ago. It would have been so much more embarassing if I hadn't come to on my own, because the bathroom is small and when I fell, I blocked the door so they would have had to take the door down to get to me. But thankfully I did come to quickly, of course everyone heard the crash, and saw me when I wobbled out to where my friend was sitting and said emergency room please. It is a story that always bares repeating because whether we like it or not all of us love a good bathroom story. Next time I'll have to share the story of following through into my mouth after hitting a slam in tennis. I had to get stitches, but I did get the shot. Thanks for the prayers, always welcome, Marti Dave and Jeanne wrote: Wow - I can't believe you have such a positive attitude and are able to participate in the group with so much going on with your health. Guest guest
You're most welcome Marti! Hope your cancer isn't very severe right now. Then you won't have to get chemo and radiation too often. Right now I am in remission. In January will have another scan done to see if it came back. I do enjoy reading your posts too with such an upbeat attitude! hugs, Debbie J > > Thank you Debbie, I am waiting now for the team of doctors studying it to decide on the type of treatment I need. Guest guest
Thank you again Debbie J, I cincerely appreciate your support and of course your prayers. I am so glad you are in remission right now. I will be praying for the scan in January to be clear. Hearing from you and others on this site are mainly what keep me going and I pray for you everyday. Being alone at home all the time can bring on the lonlies, they are the tiny little guys who toss their ropes out (like in Gulliver's Travels) and try really hard to bring me down. I also think they jump out and trip me sometime. Blessed be, Marti deebs87 wrote: You're most welcome Marti! Hope your cancer isn't very severe right now. Guest guest
Marti, I also am sorry to hear about the cancer. My prayers are with your for a full recovery. You seem to be quite optimistic and that is a great attitude to have when fighting cancer!! Good luck with everything.
