I'd think online teaching or certification training would be something most of

us could manage - work from home, flex time, set up computer next to bed for max

comfort, etc. If anyone here is interested, I can write up starter guidelines

and send some links.

Same here - A number of the clutter help sites do help. And like all the other

adaptations, takes time and thought because we have think it differently before

This blog post has some good ideas and links -

Teaching on line sounds like a great idea. Will it be classes that are live

while you are teaching or can you do a little at a time in putting the lesson

together?

The online college I will be teaching for puts the course together. I've taught

online where I had to do more prep and course development. More work you don't

really get paid for. Factor in brain fog and needing to stay sharp for marking

papers, replying to discussion posts, office hourse, etc and not having more to

do is fine by me, Last time I did online teaching, I thought just not having get

up and go out would be enough. I did not plan for brain fog in high stress

knowlege work.

I have never taught on-line, but do help families with children who have

autism and aspergers on-line. That is very flexible. I used to do the advocacy

full time, but have had to give it up. It requires a gruesome schedule so I had

to quit. I really miss it and do what I can on-line.

Maybe you can do more counseling work on line. What do you have in the way of

certification, training, etc. in social work? If enough, maybe you could

facilitate online training.

What do you teach? I really hope it works out for you.

I teach college composition and humanities. I do hope it works out too. I'm

trying to plan ahead as much as I can for " brain fog avoidance. " That has to

come before dealing with clutter. Can't deal with too many things at the same

time...

Hi ,

That would really be great. I've been wondering where to start. I have a

masters in education and some work on a doctorate before the fibroid monster

just completely did me in and made me quit everything. I do think teaching

on-line or as you said, certification training, would be doable for me. I

applied recently for a tutoring position at someone's home for 4 to 6 hours a

week, but they had already found someone before I saw the ad on craigslist.

Thanks. I would appreciate any help you could give me. I need the money

bad. The foreclosure man is literally beating at my door, along with the tax

man.
