Guest guest
Most a.m. serum levels since June have been mid-range; 14.5,8.5(9;30am),13.2, 7.6 (noon), 11.6. For women the serum at 8AM shoudl be at least 20. AT noon 14 or so, so it DOES change ALOT by time of day. Even an hour can make a drastic difference. And if oyu sleep differnt hours thna " nirmal " it can also make a difference. Thsi is why the saliva testin shows AF so much better. >>Serum androgen levels have typically been high/high normal, but DHEAs level finally coming down (144) on last serum.<< OK this is your adrenals giving up the ship. When adrenal fatigue hits stage 6 the DHEA and thus the sex hormoens will usually be pretty high. They are all the adrenals CAN make to pumo the metabolism. When DHEA starts lowering you are entering stage 7. Assuming the levels will stay the same is a HUGE mistake! They progress sometimes slowly sometimes faster dependding on what else is going oin in the body.. Amoutn of daily stres, HOW hypothyroid you are or are not, and digestion as whether your body is stressed form pooor digesition or even from poor glucose levels. >>I should add that blood sugar (I have a home monitor) is all over the place, with post-meals being as high as 180's; fastings from mid- 8o's to low 100's. << Depending on WHAT you ate and how long after eating it these may be perfectly mornal readings. HIGH carb meal in the first 2 hours DO go quite high on the glucose meter. Then your insuling kicks in and lowers it how fast depends on if you have enough insulin, low enough insulin resistance and hwo many carbs there are to handle and if they are fast or slow carbs. Full digestoin and glucose handling takes 5 hours afdter a meal to complete. To say your glucose is jumping around, you need ot compare fastign numbers ONLY. That means nothign to eat or drink for 5 hours before testing. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Any advice? Email me privately if you need to. > > >>Serum androgen levels > have typically been high/high normal, but DHEAs level finally coming > down (144) on last serum.<< > > OK this is your adrenals giving up the ship. When DHEA starts lowering you are entering stage 7. Which is failure? There IS more relaxation at this stage.. Does cortisol jump around at this stage also? > > Assuming the levels will stay the same is a HUGE mistake! I'm pretty educated about glycemic control and post-prandials can be high sometimes even with good protein/low glycemic foods. I should add that diabetes is rampant on both sides of my family. Also that I have gained about 15 lbs (although still not " heavy " ) mostly around middle. Guest guest
Have you had saliva testing done four times in a day? Those are the best for knowing how bad adrenal fatigue is and what you will most liekly need to treat it. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets

Guest guest
I believe IU did comment on these before when yiu sent them. What I see if both were done while off all cortiosl supplementation for at least 2 weeks is a preogression of AF. It is gettign MUCH worse which would indicate your treatment plan (if you had one) is not working and time to get serious with some HC. The blood levels and saliva levels will NEVER be in agreement on hormones as you are lookign at two differnt thing.s Blood levels show what is available to the vcells and saliva levels show what is in the tissues or already taken up by the cells. As hormones work in the tissues the saliva levels are of most importance I feel but the blood levels being much higher can indicate a receptor problem. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
