Guest guest
It sounds as though you might have a toenail fungus. There are treatments for it, though I wouldn't recommend the pills myself. There are some 'old wives tales' that often work, or prescription ointments. Nail fungii are usually the reason for the thick nails, I have suffered with that too. Only on my toes, luckily. I have always had 'problem' nails. They are ridged, split and break very easily, and even when I was drinking at least 4 glasses of milk each day, as well as eating cheese, yoghurt, etc. they still were like that. Even though I try to keep them cut short, they still peel and break. The strange thing is that they grow like wildfire, but since they are so weak, I have to keep them short. I have also had problems with my teeth my entire life. You wouldn't believe the number of root canals I've had. My hair also grows very quickly, but it falls out very quickly as well. I've had to resign myself to short hair. I guess it's 'age appropriate', but I'm not happy about it. I spent a year doing the 'kegel' excercises, and it didn't help even a little bit. I always found them very uncomfortable to perform, too. But, I thougt if it would help, I'd give it an honest chance. Peace and Love Caroline But the toe nails are growing strangely --- both big " toes " look as if I have banged them in some way and they were damaged at the root. And they are very thick!!! Oh, and back to the bladder problems, my doc said yesterday to use the Kegel method! Told her I didn't think I had the ability teach myself the exercise! Guess that sounds dumb but learning to breath right is difficult too! But, I did get some equate liners yesterday at Walmart. Will see how they work but may have to go to the pull ups for adults! Coughing is slowing down, thought! And thanks for the Fabreeze suggestion, I forgot about that! I do need to remove the slipcover and have it cleaned but not until sometime in the spring before we move! ____________________________________________________________ ONE-CLICK WEBMAIL ACCESS - Easily monitor & access your email accounts!
