Guest guest
My fmaily takes Klaire labs probiotics, mixed in smoothies with coconut oil. We are dairy free right now, so I cannot comment on your questions directly, but here is the info that I learned from Klaire labs about combining probiotics and coconut oil: If using expeller pressed coconut oil (depending on producer, could be heat refined, or un-heat refined), you can combine probitics and and oil together at same time. This is because epeller pressed coconut oil typically has less anti-microbial properties that virgin oil. If using virgin coconut oil for strictly for its anti-microbial properties, it is bes not to combine with probiotics, as they will " smother " and " kill off " the bacteria before your gut can use it. We have found that expeller pressed coconut oil from Tropical Traditions web site still has enough anti-microbial properties to keep our yeast overgrowth in check, and I mix it without hesitation with my probiotic supplements. I realize this is not a direct answer, but I hope this helps you to draw a relationship for your situation.
