Guest guest
I am surprised the he called at all since that should remind him of what a jerk he is... I imagine your mom is taking a different chemo than you will- my mom took 5FU for her colon cancer whereas I was AC...you may react differently and need more rest than she does so be patient with yourself and pamper yourself as much as possible, kiss your mom for me, sure do miss mine every day... Guest guest
Dianne; You are going to do fine, keep your chin up. I am praying for you and your mother. It is hard enough to deal with illness. I too had someone in my life and when I got sick he told me he did not want to feel responsible for me. He could not even be a friend to me. It hurts, but I did put all my trust in the Lord and He was and is my rock. ren www.menpausewomentalk.com
Guest guest
I'm sorry, for all you are going through. It is very hard to do all of this when you don't have the support of the one you thought was in your corner. You take care. I will keep you and your Mom in my prayers. Ruth > > I am starting chemo tomorrow too, I was so anxious this morning, my hands were actually shaking. My husband (who left me the week of diagnosis for another woman) hung up on me today when I said I was angry that I had to go through this alone. (He had called to see how I was doing). At that point I was furious. I took a .5 mg xanax. It really helped. > I set it up so that my mother, who has colon cancer and I can have our chemo at the same time (nothing like multi-tasking). I figure if my 82 year old mother can do this, I can't act like a baby in front of her (I 'm the one whos been telling her she can do it for the past year). Hope it works out okay. > Thanks for listening. Good luck to everyone starting this week! > > Dianne >
Guest guest
hummmmmmmm. That makes at least 3 of us with a colon cancer/breast cancer connection. My mom took 5FU also. But she was much sicker than I was on AC. SharonBAndreeTerry@... wrote: I am surprised the he called at all since that should remind him of what a jerk he is... Guest guest
Im new to the group, and I had my first round of chemo last week for breast cancer. I trully feel for you hun..i was lucky in that my step mom went with me to my chemo, and it does help when someone is there with you. I also had a port put in, which made it much easier on my veins...i recommend it to anyone who has to go thru chemo! mine will last for 16 weeks total, then radiation. unfortunately, my biological mother has regarded my cancer as a cry for attention and isnt willing to help me at all, but luckily i have my dad and step mom as well as my boyfriend to help me thru this and jelp me with raising 3 boys on my own. I am determined to beat this, and i pray for anyone who is going thru the same thing! feel free to get ahold of me if you need anyone to talk to...im always home, so im available if you just want to talk or need some support! thank you , Dawn Celebrate Earth Day everyday! Guest guest
My dad died from colon cancer in 1990. I never knew there was a connection until I got BC and then looked over my dad's side of the family. Always thought BC followed the mother's side. Barb Re: ANXIETY Dianne hummmmmmmm. Guest guest
My mother and grandmother both had colon cancer. I talked to a genetic counselor one day after she had been giving a talk and she was the first person that told me there could be a connection. Guest guest
Dawn..... And now you have US too.. When we come to the edge of the light we know, and are about to step off into the darkness of the unknown, of this we can be sure ... Either God will provide something solid to stand on, or we will be taught to fly. Trisha -- Re: ANXIETY Dianne Im new to the group, and I had my first round of chemo last week for breast cancer.
