Just like " Fun Times at Ridgemont High " so go the days of my life!

Taking Warafin, Last INR at 3.06 (higher than the usual 2.0-2.5), no

hit or trama to the eye, no heavy lifting , next thing I know I am

looking in the mirror at a left eye that has hemorrhage from the tear

duct to the iris about 33% of my eye.

My Warafin was recently increased to 7.5mg x 6 days a week and 5mg x

1 day. The increase is up from 7.5mg x 3 days a week and 5mg x 4

days a week, a relatively significant increase. The increase was due

to my new internist suggesting that taking in green leafy and other K

enriched vegatables was essential to the elimination of constipation

(5-6 day stretches) and that the other properties in those vegtables

were needed in my diet, which I agree.

I get the Dr. on call for my cardiologist who was probably out astral

projecting somewhere. Although I needed a translator I was able to

decipher he wanted me to to go to the ER. When I asked why the ER I

was told he wasn't going to argue with me and that the ER was the

only place to get an INR after hours. " Well la de da " I said, and

the world will be illuminated to know my levels are high...duh! When

I asked " how could they help my situation, he said " I don't know. " I

just reduced my dose to 2.5mg and called it the night.

So it looks like I will be purchasing my own INR machine, which is

not covered under insurance because it is not a daily need like a

diabetic. Have any of you experienced bleeding in the eyes? What

did you do and is there any way to speed the recovery to the eye?

I'll keep an eye out for your responses!
