question about thyrolar/T3 only portion

Val et al:

I received notice today that my cytomel will not arrive for around another week.

I previously posted that everytime I try to take Thyrolar (which I have on hand)

I react badly (according to labs last week) Val says I need T3 only and T4 is

probably toxic to me. I wanted to get a head start on starting thyroid so I had

a thought today and called Forest Pharmaceuticals to ask about the 1/4 grain

thyrolar tablets that I have. These tablets are half purple and half white. I

asked them which color was the T3 and they said the white is the T3. So, do you

think I could cut them in half and take the T3 part only? I figure I could even

have been allergic to the dye or something in the T4 purple part causing me some

problems since I'm SO sensitive to everything. Do you all think this is a good

idea?
