Guest guest
My T2 friend is giving me fits with his eating habits. He's always been the type who forgets to eat. But as a stagehand and a T2, that's not a good situation. I always try to make sure he has a good meal before or after a show -- or both. But I'm wondering, when he's doing a lot of heavy physical labor, is it a good idea to feed him carbs in higher quantity? Or should I stick with a lot of protein, etc. I've read and understand all the diet information (I'm considered pre-diabetic) but it never covered people who do a lot of heavy labor. It dealt primarily with exercise. He'll come over with his blood sugar running about 55 after working a show, shaky, etc. That's not good and I want to do right by him as much as I can. Any help would be appreciated.
