Welcome .I was 39 when I had my surgery almost nine months ago.

I had a checkup Wednesday.Have lost a total of 86 pounds and 58 and a half

inches!

All I can say is WOW....something is finally working for me.

They took my picture and when compared to the before one.......what a

difference!

If I don't lose another pound,I can truly say that I'm happy.

Started at 257,now weigh 170.I'm 5'9 " .I can wear size 10 jeans......used to

wear 22.

Welcome .....

I think if you ask any one of us we all would say we were at one time

against WLS, I for one took over 4 year`s to finally come to the

decision that I need to do something about this weight and dieting isn`t

working. I wish I could say, darnnit I am just going to go on a diet and

get this weight off but after year`s of saying that and year`s of just

packing on more pounds I knew what I was doing was not working and if I

don`t do something now I will die from all this weight.

I am still Pre Op and have gone through all my testing and have my first

consult with surgeon on Jan 8th at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester

Minnesota and am hoping all goes well and my insurance approves, I still

have a way to go but I am starting to see the light at the end of the

tunnel.

I turned on CNN this morning and they had a segment on Gastric Bypass

surgery and let me tell you what they said scared the hell out of me,

and then I read all the post`s from people that have benefited from this

surgery and I think I have to just go through with this and I will be

another one of the people who benefit.

This is a really good group to belong to so just ask when you need some

answer`s good luck on your journey.....
