Brand name versions of minocycline -> prices

I have been searching for the best BRAND NAME prices on minocycline.

Unfortunately, I have no prescription coverage at the moment.

I found MINOCIN (100 mg) - 90 capsules for $303 at familymeds.com ($3.36 each)

I found DYNACIN (100mg) - 50 capsules for $256 at destinationrx.com ($5.12 each)

I found VECTRIN (100mg) - 90 capsules for $226 at drugstore.com ($2.51 each)

I found MYRAC (100mg) - 150 tablets for $559 at drugstore.com ($3.72 each)

My question, for those of you with more experience,.....

Which is the best brand for AP (antibiotic protocol) for RA (rheumatoid

arthritis)?

Jeff,

The Minocin manufactured by Stiefel (not Steifel) in Canada is as

real as brand name Minocin can get. It's manufactured under license

from Wyeth, which had acquired Lederle Laboratories, developers of

the original Minocin. For some reason, Wyeth stopped manufacturing

Minocin in the U.S.

The original Minocin capsules manufactured by Stiefel were imprinted

with " Lederle M4, " where M4 refers to the capsule size. A Stiefel

representative told me that the capsules are now imprinted with

" Stiefel " instead.

Jeff,

Good suggestion. Stiefel and Triax are separate companies. Both now

manufacture brand name Minocin, but Triax is five times more

expensive. I will update my web page
