Guest guest
I have several questions about Yeast Overgrowth and treating it with Probiotics. 1) How do you know if you have a yeast overgrowth without any of the outwardly symptoms? I've had a yeast infection here or there, but I don't have oral thrush, etc... I know that I have all the markers for yeast issues though: * Taken several series of antibiotics * Been on the Birth Control Pill for 10+ years * Had a Diet full of refined foods high in sugar and simple carbohydrates pre SCD. 2) Is there a test I can take to see if I have a yeast overgrowth? If so, where can this be done? Is it possible to determine which yeast I have an overgrowth of? 3) Can I take GI Pro Health's SCDophilius and Saccharomyces Boulardii at the same time or is it better that I take one for a certain amount of time and then the other? 4) Clostridium Difficile - Is the C. Diff test the only way to know how much of this bacteria is in your gut? The lab had messed up my C. Diff test and my GI Dr. said I didn't need to do it since he visually confirmed UC through a colonoscopy. Should I demand a new prescrip for a C. Diff test? Thank you all so much for your help. It has truly been so valuable to me. Vicki UC - 1 year SCD - 3 months Med Free
