Hi and welcome to the list! Many folks with weak adrenals will have

" normal: thyroid labs. It does not mean they are nto hy0othyroid just

that the thyroid is unable to get to the cells from the low cortioslk so

it sits in theblood loiking really pretty on lab tests. It can even look

like high Free T3! i WOU.D SUGGEST SINCE OYU HAVE ALREAY BEEN ON THIS

HIGH A DOSE OF iSOCORT, AND IT LIEKLY WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE FOR YOU TO

WEAN OFF TO DO SALIVA TESTING, THAT YOU GET new THYROID LABS DONE WHICH

INCLUDES fREE T3 ADN fREE t4 TO KNWO WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE now. Sorry

about the caps.. my fingers do not want to type this morning. Post your

results here and I wish you good luck finding a docotr. Perhaps if you

share the area you live in someone here can give some ideas if they have

any doctors in your area that are any good.

Well, I spent some time looking over old messages, and I found many

references to HC Cream. I didn't even think that was option! But

from what I've read, it is a good source of HC (1/8 tsp for 5mg and

1/4 for 10 mg HC), doesn't have the negative side effects on the GI

that the pills do, AND it doesn't have lactose or lactase in it (I am

allergic to milk). This seems like a very good option for me! I can

slowly start introducing the cream instead of the equivalent pills and

see if I do better. It will be interesting to see how it turns out,

especially if people like the cream for its benefits, potency and

effectiveness, and that it is available OTC. If HC pills are hard on

the stomach a lot of the time for people, then it sounds like I might

do better on the cream anyways. In all fairness, the past month has

been filled with continuous and horrific stress that has only recently

begun to let up. Stress-dosing the Isocort just didn't seem to cut it,

and I am slowly recovering from the stress. I know that HC is

stronger than Isocort as Isocort is described as being " weaker. " It

probably doesn't help that I swallow them instead of letting them

dissolve under my tongue (ick!). So part of my problem may involve

how well I am getting the cortisol through digestion. Stores are

closed today, but I will go out and get some of the HC cream tomorrow.

If that doesn't make enough of an improvement, I may need to add

some good supplements (for thyroid/adrenal) or even something like

Westthroid. First things first, though! Wow, I feel so much better!

To know that there are options out there, and I will only get better

from here! (I have learned the hard way that going to the Dr. does

not equal feeling better. If anything it just increases frustration

and zaps your energy levels!) Thank you SO MUCH for all the help (and

all of the good information to go over)! What a life saver! Thank you!!!
