Guest guest
Dear Theresa, I'm glad you're home. ::Soft Hugs:: You've been in my prayers for a speedy and complication-free recovery. Was it more/less difficult than you thought...? If and when I have a TT I'd like to know how it rates (pain wise) to the open RNY. Take good care, rest and don't over do it. Lots of love, Trace

Guest guest
Dear Theresa, Thanks for being honest with me. I appreciate that. From the pics on the website/File section and Terry's posts I figured that the TT was a much harder surgery to 'bounce back' from. I know you're excited about losing 8.5 (!!) pounds of loose/excess skin from your stomach. Wow. I'm excited for you. I'm glad you're taking it slow and easy. Listen to your body and rest. Guest guest
Hi Trace, Thanks for you thoughts and things are going ok. I'm taking it nice and easy other than the binder and drain tubes being a big pain in my @$$!! to be blunt about it. Trace, let me say that out of the 4 surgeries that I have had in the last 8 years I have always been able to bounce back fairly quickly, I have been able to tolerate the pain..... The Gastric Bypass is a walk in the park compaired to this surgery...... I have been asked to rate it 1-10 compaired to the GB..... I rate the TT a pain scale of 8/9 and the GB a 3 on the pain scale in comparison. This one is MUCH harder I was nervous going into this surgery about the pain cause I didn't know what to expect and its was worth the worry casue its nothing like the GB. I'm doing good I'm taking my time doing stuff not over doing it, not causing added pain but I'm not trying to scare you or anyone else just being honest...... But I have to admit its a wonderful feeling not having that slab of fat there! 8.5 lbs he took from my stomach. I'm so darn excited.
