Guest guest
, Though I'm in the medical arena, I am so baffled at my own thyroid/adrenal issues. Have had hypo symptoms for several years, found out in May that my TSH was 5.52. Finally got an appt with a dr who was recommended to me on Sept 28th. Have been on Armour 60mg since then. My labs from that date are as follows: TSH 4.04 (.35-5.5) FT4 .90 (.61-1.76) FT3 2.6 (2.3-4.2) RT3 133 (90-350) B12 358 (211-911) Folate greater than 20 (greater than 5.4) Ferritin 19 (10-291) Antithyroglobulin Ab 696 (0-40) Salivary Cortisol (Diagnos-Tech) 8am 16 (12-24) 12pm 4 (5-10) 4pm 1 (3-8) 11pm 2 (1-4) Cortisol burden 23 (23-42) DHEA 3 (3-10) Insulin fasting 3 (3-12) Insulin postprandial 3 (5-20) Salivary SIgA 11 (20-60) Dr. recommended Licorice, which I've been taking for 7 weeks. Also, take non-heme iron, selenium, dhea-10mg, E, C, D, Ca, Mg. Repeat labs on 11/30/07 TSH .57 (.35-5.5) FT4 1.1 (.61-1.76) FT3 4.2 (2.3-4.2) Ferritin 48 (10-291) DHEA 35 (32-240) No other labs were drawn, and Dr. made no changes at that time. I still feel hypo; increasing hair loss, foggy, cold extremities, etc..decided to start on Isocort 10 days ago. For the past 3 days, I am up to 4 pellets a day, and started feeling nauseated yest, and heart pounding, but my heart rate was about 80/beats/min., and extremely fatigued. BTW, my hair is really falling out this week. Not sure what a thyroid dump feels like, but I imagine this might be it, so I did not take my Armour today. I have a 10-12 hour work day, and I so need your help. Thank you Joy
